  1. Oh Dani, I just got home and came right to the computer to see what I missed. Oh my, he’s so beautiful and perfect. That first picture of the two of you is beyond perfection. His first love.

    Absolutely perfect.

  2. WOW. You are my hero! He’s an absolutely gorgeous big boy! He looks hawngry already.

I’ve enjoyed following the pregnancy and look forward to watching this boy grow up. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

  3. CONGRATULATIONS, DANI AND SON!!! (And doubly-so with managing your labour without an epidural – that’s awesome.) I’m so thrilled for both of you, and for the rest of the family, too! He definitely looks like a Dani boy. Which makes me think I need to go off right now and sing a certain well-known song in your honour.

    Warmest wishes…

  4. Congratulations!!! I can’t wait to hear all the details (and a name!). Enjoy your new little one. He looks so precious. ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. YAY YAY YAY YAY! Congrats Dani and family- the new prince is BEAUTIFUL! I love the pictures!!! Dani- you’re my hero- 10lbs and no epidural!!! And considering you only went in this morning- he came much quicker than Simon or Tristan! Good job Dani! now… any chance he’s named yet???

  8. D –

Congrats from all of us here on the Left Coast! My only question is that if 10lbs and 23 inches of baby doesn’t make you want to take drugs, what will?? Oh, maybe having 3 teenage boys a few years from now will do it…..

Enjoy every second! Can you believe my Captcha is Means Changes….

    Love ya –
    Fryman and the rest…

  9. HOORAY!!! Welcome sweet baby boy!!! And dare I say, what a wait you put us through this week! Great job Mama. Can’t wait to hear more details. Much love!

  10. He is beyond perfection…gorgeous! ….And, your web hits must be going through the roof. (I’m not usually checking out blogs at 3 in the morning!)

  11. The player to be named later looks like a perfect addition to the family.. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Congrats to you all..

  12. Way to go, Dani! I can’t wait to here about the birth and how you felt about the midwife experience! Enjoy the next few days.

    Congratulations.

  13. See, I think 10 lbs 1 oz is a very reasonable weight for a baby to be. Impressive, but reasonable. He had the right idea all along – he knew what was a good day to be born.

I don’t suppose you had a nurse named Elizabeth? Because Captcha is telling me “Elizabeth Weighs.”

Dying to hear the whole story!

  14. Congratulations!! I can’t wait to meet him!

As soon as you are ready for visitors, I’ll come by with food!

    ๐Ÿ™‚

  15. *standing ovation*

*wipes a few tears o’joy away, and sniffles a bit*

(Will be back later to gaze at those pictures eleventy hundred times.)

  16. Congratulations!
Welcome to the world, little guy!
What a beautiful boy! That first picture with him looking at you is just too precious!
    Congrats!

  17. Congratulations, Dani! I’m just thrilled for you and all your boys! Thanks for taking us all along for the ride. Now I can’t wait for that little player to be named!

  18. Oh fabulous. Until they’re safely on the outside I worry a bit. You are, of course, amazing to deliver such a baby without an epidural. I wonder if we’ll hear Beloved’s side of the story on that one. Congratulations!

  19. He is freakin’ GORGEOUS! He is so grown looking….at 10 pounds he ought to be. Hope you all are doing well..can’t wait for more pics!

  20. Great post big brother, better then we talked about, LOL!! Congratulations to both of you, he is beautiful and I’m not just saying that because I’m his Aunt (wow I’m an Aunt to THREE boys, who would of thought)!! Send me lots of pictures maybe one with all three boys together, hint, hint!! Love you all very much!!

  21. Congratulations, Dani! So glad to see he’s here safe and sound and beautiful! What a great idea taking the picture on the scale, too.

    Welcome little boy!

  22. Chiming in late to add my congratulations to all the rest. He’s just gorgeous. You do good work, mom, you and Beloved make beautiful boys.

  23. Holy crap!!! Congratulations. He is beautiful!!!

BTW, you are the first blogger I have ever encountered who managed to have a baby without taking a day off blogging. It’s remarkable, really.

  24. Hello, Brand New Canadian Boy!

He’s lovely, Dani! Are your other boys over the moon too?

    captcha: It’s Unexploded

Well, I should bloody well hope so!

  25. What’s Kerry talking about? He doesn’t look at all like Simon (rolling eyes). Are you sure that’s not a photo from 4 years ago?? Just checking in for an update, or perhaps a name, well??

  26. Yay!!!!

He’s beautiful. And you’re awesome. His head isn’t even pointy! Did not having the epidural let you get up so gravity helped?

He’s exactly the weight my DD was, but longer and slimmer.

And wait, isn’t *now* LATER as in “to be named later” ???

Welcome little one, and congratulations to the whole family!

  27. Congratulations, DAni. He’s beautiful.

And laughing at Mad’s comment. Geez, lady; haven’t you heard of mat leave? ๐Ÿ˜‰

  28. Congratulations! And welcome to world of parenting three boys. You will love it! Speaking of which, my captcha says “tensions great”. Teehee…

  29. So much love in those eyes! What a sweetie ๐Ÿ™‚
Congratulations to your whole family on the arrival (finally!) of your new baby boy.

  30. Late to the party as usual – CONGRATULATIONS!! He is absolutely adorable. Can’t wait to hear your story.

    Captcha – New Repayment!

  31. Congratulations Dani and family. He looks just like his brothers already. OH so handsome. And congrats Dani on another big baby, you go girl. Beautiful, just beautiful.

  32. Dani,

My first thought was he looks like Simon too! Job well done Mommy! Looks like he is settling in right away.

Don’t stress yourselves about the name part, Logan wasn’t named for 3 days after birth, I looked for HOURS through books saying the name and looking at him before I was happy! So, I’ll be patient till you name your big guy!

  33. CONGRATULATIONS! I am delighted for all of you. Thanks for sharing the news and pictures so promptly. He is wonderful, looks big and healthy, and yet so small and sweet… I think he has big strong hands and feet – might be a fine hockey player, or handyman, or pianist? Maybe all three!
Welcome to the world, little guy, and way to go Dani!

  34. Yeah for the family!!
Welcome to the world little one! Did you know friends, family and complete strangers like myself were waiting anxiously awaiting your arrival?!
Congratulations to you all. It has been quite the adventure and I thank you for sharing it with us in cyberspace.

  35. *standing ovation*

Amazing work! (And wow, big! Clearly if you had gestated him any longer he would have come out walking and talking! ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

  36. Congratulations! My girlfriend was excited to hear that the newly named player shares her birthday! According to her, it is the best day of the year to be born. Congrats!

  37. So sorry I’m late with the congratulations – one-handed blogging being done over here too. CONGRATULATIONS. He’s beautiful!

No drugs? Really??? WOW. You’re my hero.

  38. I’m so behind (and a terrible bloggy citizen) but I pop by and find THIS!

Wow, what a beautiful, stunning big baby boy.

And no epidural at 10 lbs? You are a queen my dear. Simply stunning!
