You know, things pretty much NEVER work out the way I envision either. Sometimes they are better, sometimes they are just plain wack. Good for you for persevering and rolling with the punches, the results may not be what you wanted but they do have value and meaning and that's what truly matters. Right?

P.S. I loves me some red balloons, too.

Got any big big plans for your new crate and bottles? I feel you are gearing up for something special to do with them. Do tell.

Dani: I just found this post and am very saddened that this still has not come to pass. As you wrote, three years ago, the McGuinty government was considering funding upto three cycles of IVF. Then came an expert panel on infertility and adoption and they too recommended reinstating funding for several reasons, not the least of which was the benefit to health care systems. By funding upto three cycles of IVF and adopting policies that reduce the number of multiple pregnancies through IVF, the panel estimated that the province of Ontario would save between $400 to $550 million over the next decade. And yet, two years later as we head into Mother's Day weekend I am still fighting for the recommendations to be acted upon. I am saddened by the fact that many couples in Ontario still struggle and still remortgage homes just to conceive a child. When will Ontario act on these recommendations and do the right thing?

Thanks for the great post and for your personal approach to this topic.

That's such a fantastic idea! I love everything about it. I'm genuinely excited! We tried the backyard garden last year, put the ground is mostly clay and stone, so only a few things actually grew. We had great success with tomatoes grown in a planter though. This year we'll do the same and add another of peas.

I love this. I looked up Roots and Shoots a while back and considered it but we are fairly far from their pickup location and i didn't want to make it harder on myself that it needed to be. There must be one closer to me. Or maybe Bryson Farms, I think they deliver. I also love this stuff.
