Sometimes things come together rather fortuitously on the blog.
For example, although yesterday seems to have been Official Delurk Day, when we’ve done it in past years, it has been a week long event, so I don’t think I’m breaking any invioble rules by playing along today. (Thanks to Greeblemonkey for the graphic!)
Since blog gets in the neighbourhood of 200 to 250 visitors a day, and the average post gets between 10 and 15 comments, I can do the math without even taking off my socks and shoes to figure out that there are a few of you dropping by but never saying hello. Yes, you!!
But, cuz I’m such a thoughtful and generous hostess, I’m not going to make you go to all the work of coming up with a pithy or thoughtful or insightful comment all on yer own. No, no, no. But I am going to make you work for it, and you can thank Fryman’s comment from yesterday for inspiring me.
The Player To Be Named Later is officially due three weeks from today, on February 1. Name the date and time of his arrival, and you win a prize! What prize? Erm, um, let’s see… how about a book? I’ll send you a book, of my capricious choosing, at some time within six months of baby’s arrival.
The rules:
- Your guess must include a day and hour.
- The closest guess wins the prize.
- Any guess between now and February 15 is fair game.
Fun!! My guess is February 3rd at 3:33 a.m. (3 hour labour, 3 minute delivery…. I get a bonus book for that 🙂
Feb 6 at 5:21am, a medium-timed, painless labour resulting in a calm, relaxed baby. I’m hoping mine will be born that week too (EDD Feb 8).

Okay, well, it’s my birthday next Saturday so I think TPTBNL will arrive on my birthday. January 19th. At 6.45pm. Hee.

I’m going to use my boy’s birthdate… he was due Feb 3 and came early. Not too early, but enough so Mommy was spared 2 more weeks of misery.
So, my official guess (prediction?) is that TPTBNL will be born Jan 22 at 2:05 pm.
Okay, so my babe was 2:05am, but with a pm at least you can sleep some that night!
I’m going to say Feb 3 at 4:00 (because the 2/3/4:00 appeals to me). I’m hoping for a relatively short labour, maybe breakfast at home and then a to the hospital.
Don’t forget the white grape juice. It counts as “clear liquid” but isn’t yucky, old apple juice.

I’m gonna be mean and put you 3 days over your due date – Feb 4th, 2008. My babies hated my uterus and couldn’t wait to get out – but not everyone is that lucky unfortunately. Happy delurking week!

My psychic abilities say Feb 2 at 5:21AM…which, if the past is any indicator, means that the PTBNL will come nowhere close to that time.

I can’t remember whether your other babies came late or early.
I know four people with the birthday February 8th, so although I don’t wish it on you, I’ll guess a full week overdue. Time of day…say 7:30am.
I think your third boy will respect your need for organization and preparation. I predict that he will arrive exactly on time, February 1st, (sorry Simon) at the respectable hour of 11:30am.

Okay, I want to say February 11, because that was my grandfather’s birthday.
But my gut is telling me that it will be Feb. 2 at 4:03 am. So sorry to both Simon (although he won’t have to share a birthday this way) and mom.

My birthday is Feb 2nd, so I’m going to guess that day. How about 4:55 am. That’s the time my baby insists on waking up for the day. Maybe if yours is born at that time he’ll sleep until 7 am when he’s 10 months old instead. Just because he’ll be all “been there, done that” about 4:55 am.

I just discovered your blog, so you can’t exactly say that I’m a lurker, but… this sounds fun! I had a similar game for my baby’s birth day just about a year ago. I’m going to guess January 30th at 7:32pm.
Of course it will be on Feb. 7 at 7:43 pm. Then we would have the same birth minute.
