More fun filched from About Miche:

Your Thinking is Abstract and Sequential

You like to do research and collect lots of information.
The more facts you have, the easier it is for you to learn.

You need to figure things out for yourself and consider all possibilities.
You tend to become an expert in the subjects that you study.

It’s difficult for you to work with people who know less than you do.
You aren’t a very patient teacher, and you don’t like convincing people that you’re right.

It’s all true, except for the fact I’ve been told I’m actually a pretty good teacher, and my thinking these days is pretty much along the lines of, “Where was I? Oh right! *pause* Erm, where was I?”

  1. A hypothetical question about an acorn that fell not far from its tree So let’s imagine a hypothetical boy. He’s plenty bright, and gets reasonable marks in school. He’s a little scatterbrained, though, and a bit of a daydreamer. It’s quite possible that he has the same inability of his hypothetical mother to hold a thought in his head, except for when he’s...
  2. At least he comes by it honestly! Please indulge me in a moment of shameless bragging. I’m practically bursting with pride. I got a call from Tristan’s teacher this week. (I swear, getting a call from the school elicits the exact same physical response in me now that getting called to the principal’s office did when I...
  3. Another parenting milestone: come pick up your bloodied child I knew it was coming. I guess I should count myself lucky to have made it two years into his scholastic career before it happened. I certainly count myself lucky for having been home to take the call when it came in. “Hello, this is the school. Your little guy...

  5. The class Christmas party Sometimes, I worry about silly things for no reason. I can work myself into a pretty good lather over them, too. (Stunning revelation, no?) For the better part of a week, I’ve been angsting over Tristan’s class Christmas party. The angst reached a fever pitch last night, with me near...

I wonder how they can peg people in 5 questions? This is me, and don’t laugh too hard about it.

Your Thinking is Concrete and Sequential

You are precise, orderly, and realistic.
You tend to get to the point and get things done.

Difficult, detailed work is easy for you. You take things step by step.
Time limits aren’t a problem for you either. You work well with deadlines.

What does drive you crazy is any sort of task that isn’t precisely laid out.
You don’t like anything to be ambiguous. You prefer to deal with the facts at hand.

Abstract and random–which to me implies that I would be a nightmare to live with. Kinda like having a surrealist around the house.

“Concrete and random” –not sure i see how that goes together, but maybe that is the root of my problems :-)

Yeah, right, and I come up as logical and sequential. Where, in fact these days, I’m lucky if I can complete sentences. Occassionally.
Being back at work and not feeling at all logical is a little tough.
