Yay!!!

What a great way to start what is likely to be a very exciting week!

For the second year in a row, you’ve voted this blog the Second Best Family Blog in the Canadian Blog Awards!!! Thank you so much to Jen, who nominated me, and to all of you who voted through rounds one and two. I’m very honoured, especially given the amazing quality of the other blogs who were also nominated.

Congratulations to first place winner Beck from Frog and Toad are Still Friends, third place winner The Genealogist, finalists Don Mills Diva and City News: Family Matters, and to all the great bloggers who were nominated this year.

As if that weren’t exciting enough, at the risk of having the Uterus That Cried Wolf, I’ve been having mild but noticable contractions since I woke up this morning. Hey, he’s got to come out of there eventually!!

Thanks again for the great honour – I love all of you!!!

  3. I would like to clarify – for the second year in a row, I voted you as *First* Best Family Blog. It’s like those long ago Avis ads, “We’re number 2. We try harder.” You will again deliver great content and we will enjoy it.

    If I could have arranged for those football cheerleaders (assuming there were cheerleaders) to develop a cheer for your contractions, I would have … and the CAPTCHA oracle is in your favour.

    Hmmm, my Twitter feed seems to be as fickle as my contractions. Been almost two hours since I had a contraction — once again, it’s the Uterus That Cried Wolf!

    (Ha, captcha is “drink one” — maybe a lunchtime cocktail is in order?)

  18. Ha! My captcha is “here combs” which of course you could read as “hair combs” or “here (he) comes”. I’m going for the latter.

    And yes, I’m checking obsessively for updates. Wonder what I’ll be doing when (if) NSLS is three days post-due date!

  23. Well, this baby’s not on his way today. One, maybe two contractions in the last four or five hours. Bah!

    And, Mom on the Run, I’m about to pass a 10-ish pound baby — you think that’s going to STOP me complaining about my uterus? Ha, the real complaining has only begun!!!
