New blog banners!

It’s been nearly nine months since I created any new blog banners from my photographs, and I’ve taken a few (!!) new pictures since then. So, my menfolk gave me exactly what I wanted for Mother’s Day: a couple of hours to futz about in Photoshop and make up some new banners.

Whaddya think?

New blog banners

The one with the pears doesn’t quite work as well as a banner as an image, and the one with the typewriter keys at the top is a little busy — but they’ll do! You can click the refresh button a few times to see them in action. There’s 15 custom header images altogether now, and they rotate randomly.

Did you get to do something you love to do on Mother’s Day, even if just for a few minutes?

I got to sleep! When Maya awoke at the crack of dawn today, Jeff got up and took her downstairs for breakfast. But when she saw snow outside, she rapidly abandoned all thoughts of breakfast and dragged dadddy outside to play in the snow … and then after they were thoroughly chillde by the wind, dragged him inside for a bath to warm up. So I got about an extra hour of much-needed sleep.

I love the new banners!

As for me, I am doing what I like right now. My toddler is napping, my 5-year-old is watching a movie and I am online, catching up with my peeps. Later, I might have tea. This is my idea of bliss, let me tell you.

I like the new banners – especially the typewriter keys with Lucas’ fingers. Glad you got to enjoy some creative time today!

Mother’s Day is pretty much just another day at our house… my husband is a bit of a putz when it comes to Mother’s Day/birthdays. He did buy me a photograph that I wanted for the living room and gave that to me on Friday (too big to hide!) so I’ll take that over any kind of “spoiling” today! Good thing he’s pretty fantastic about nearly everything else, ’cause I would really have liked to avoid doing laundry/cooking 3 meals today. *sigh*

I really like all of them . . . but my favourite is for sure the bubble one! Adorable.

Mothers Day was quiet and relaxing, and yes, I got to do something I love to do today – 3 hours of crafts and scrapbooking – YAY!

I received a beautiful card from my son who lives out of town – we will see him soon and celbrate Mother’s day then.

We went out for dinner on Mother’s day with Danielle and her family. It looked like I was having frog legss as the special as sitting on my plate was a garden sculpture with five frogs sitting one on top of the other, each one smaller than the other – did you know we have 5 grandchildren!!

Tristan and Simon has made a card and I will quote Tristan’s hand written words

“You have gave me lots of love. Now I can give you l love”

How blessed am I

All the banners are great. Especially like the shots of the little hand reaching for the pear, the blowing bubble and of course the baby’s feet. Something about pudgy little baby feet!

All of the banners look great! I especially love the one with the child grabbing the puzzle pieces. I love the little fingers.

I love the one with the pears, and the bottom one. You are an amazing photographer!
