There are two pictures of which I’m particularly fond this week. First, there’s this one of Tristan drawing, which he does with at least half of his free time each day. Lookit that free-hand star he just drew — I couldn’t do that with a template to follow! (He’s drawing Cosmo and Wanda from “Fairly Odd Parents.)
And I love this one, too. For a change, rather than simply finding inspiration in whatever was around me, I had taken the time to set up a light source and a background, and was playing with depth-of-field and focus to get some “bokeh” from these Mardi Gras beads… when suddenly the beads started disappearing! Sheesh, a girl can’t even take a picture without some random baby coming by to pilfer her subject. I couldn’t resist the two-fer composite shot:

I love the drawing picture. It’s fantastic when my kids show me a picture they drew.
Beautiful photos. My 7 year old often draws the characters from Fairly Odd Parents too… I wonder what is up with that show that the kids are literally ‘drawn’ to it. Something subliminal maybe…

they are great photos the way that you have displayed them. it would be cool if you could get those all blown up into a large poster or something. really neat! i love the cheaks on the little one by the way. you’ve also got an ARTEEST in the family. Yeah.

I absolutely, love, love, love this idea and have to know what kind of camera you have? These are amazing shots. I love to scrapbook and am just starting to blog, but I would love to get more serious into photography. I only have a point and shoot camera, so I can not take the wonderful close ups you have. They are telling me I really need a new camera. Wow!
