Pick-yer-own blog post day

Isn’t this exciting? (Or perhaps a new high in lows?) I have three not-quite finished draft posts saved and YOU get to choose which one gets finished and which ones get deleted — or at least condemned to languish forever in the unexamined depths of my drafts folder.

I’ve had just enough time online lately to write about 2/3 of a post. The problem is that by the time I get a little bit more online time, I’ve either lost interest in the topic, or found something more pressing to whine write about. And now that I’ve got a couple of drafts on the go, I’m paralyzed by indecision. Which one should I finish? That’s where you come in.

Here’s your choices:

1. The 10-pages-in review of the Twilight books

I started writing this one when I really was less than half way through the first book and was loving it. By the time I got back to it, I was most of the way through the third book, and my interest wasn’t exactly flagging, but I’d lost the initial rush of excitement. And now that I’m almost done the fourth book, well, let’s just say I’m having trouble with this one. Choose this option to find out why!

2. The one about baby poop

Yeah, well. That kind of says it all. Choose at your own risk.

3. The one with the sleep deprivation whine

Lucas has gone from sleeping through the night at eight weeks to waking up six to eight times (whimper) a night. I’m in serious need of some help. Choose this one if you’ve got advice, or if you want to commiserate, or if you want to gloat that you knew it couldn’t last.

What say ye, bloggy peeps? What’s the next post going to be about?

  1. How about the option where you tell us how many striped turtlenecks you bought for your new work wardrobe?

    Captcha oracle: Gunning for

  2. I like the baby sleep one. I can never hear enough about the babies! Even if you don’t pick this option, you have my sympathy…hang in there!

  3. I’m divided on poop (’cause we’re on the throes of potty training at our house) or sleep deprivation, because with our often-sleepless triplets, I can totally sympathise! Whine away – no one will hold it against you!

  4. Yeah, I’m not on the Twilight bandwagon yet. (Waiting for Book One from the library.) So! Poop or sleep! As a fellow mom, I know that either of those will be a winner. (Whiner? Whatever.)

  5. And as if you needed another topic to write about…did you catch the new Electric Company last night? We saw it on TVO, they showed four back-to-back episodes starting at 5pm. What did you think?

  6. *thumbing my nose at Marla* Ha! I didn’t get ANY striped turtlenecks. coughjustonestripedhoodiecough

    (hahahahaha: captcha= Islip already)

Lynn — gah!! I can’t believe I completely forgot to watch the new Electric Company!! Will try to catch it this Fri on PBS.

  7. Poop… please!! I want to live in my little world that once they start sleeping through the night that never changes!!!

  8. Poop! I’m curious enough to wonder what you might be writing ๐Ÿ™‚ And I am wondering what exactly to expect in about two (or so) months when I have my own little one. I already know I’ll be sleep deprived.

  9. Twilight! Pleeeeease?

The Twilight series gave me blogstipation for weeks. I felt all choked up with the desire to write some really insightful analysis, but instead all I could think of was: “Edward. … Edward.”

  10. Poop or sleep ๐Ÿ™‚ I haven’t gotten into Twillight yet, but have plenty of experience with the other two! And you bring me right back there when talking about babies ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. I’ll take 2 AND 3. If I hear any more about those books, I may be forced to read them, and I’ve resisted this long…
Bring on the baby poop and sleep deprivation.
