Hey, lookit this! I had submitted a few of my favourite baby pictures to the Blogging Baby photo pool on Flickr, and editor Sarah Gilbert chose one as the Blogging Baby Image of the Day. (She said it was Simon, but it’s actually a picture of Tristan from early last year.)

Thanks, Sarah!

  1. Swimming in shame Oh, the shame! Yesterday was ‘parents’ day’ at the boys’ swimming lessons, where parents are supposed to hop in the pool with their kids and get a hands-on idea of how the kids are progressing, what they are working on, and where they need improvement. For whatever reason, we somehow...
  2. The baby who didn’t like TV Anyone who has been reading for a while knows I’m (cough) pretty lax about the idea of kids and TV. Baby Einstein came crashing on to the scene just about the time Tristan was born, and I have fond memories of plopping him into his exersaucer and queuing up the...
  3. Sling vs baby carrier In your comments on the post about how Lucas doesn’t like to be put down, a few of you mentioned how slings saved your life. I have a second-hand Baby Bjorn carrier that I used on and off for Simon, but Lucas doesn’t seem to like it. Mind you, we’ve...
  4. Babies, brownies and boys The brownie mixes have been calling to me. Congrats! I had noticed that you’d uploaded about forty photos into the pool the other day. I figured the one I had of Josie didn’t stand a chance against the sheer volume of cuteness you supplied.

Hey Marla, did you fail the math part of the IQ test? Forty pix – phsaw. It was SIX! Do you have any idea of the restraint it took me to upload only six of twelve thousand adorable pictures of my photogenic progeny???
(But you’re off the hook with the ‘sheer volume of cuteness’ remark. Flattery gets you everywhere.)
