Say Anything

Warning – I have ceded control over blog to my inner 14 year old girl. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Your Life is Like

Say Anything…

What John Cusack movie are you?

I have such a crush on John Cusack. There are so many other productive things I could have done with the last four minutes of my life, and yet when I stumbled across the “which John Cusack movie are you?” quiz, I couldn’t resist. And when the result was one of my favourite movies of all time, it seemed like fate was telling me to post about it. So I did.

Because you never know when John Cusack might be doing an ego-google, and then he’d come across my blog, and see what a big fan I am, and maybe he’s looking for a sensitive, witty writer for his next project, and he’ll love my style and realize I’m the only one for the job and I’ll have to quit my government job and work with him and Cameron Crowe to write the role that will win him his first Oscar. I see it as a “quirky celebrity meets obscure blogger and falls in love but that love can only be unrequited because she is married and has two kids” kind of film.

It could happen.

  1. Serendipity? I have never heard of this one. I even tried to skew my answers so that it would come out Hi Fidelity. How come I’m a John Cusack movie nobody knows about? What’s with that? Was I too unblalanced and charming? Was I answering the Joan Cusack quiz by mistake?

  2. *laughing* – Joan Cusack quiz. Snort!
Yah, you strike me as more High Fidelity than Serendipity, truth be told. Although Serendipity was one of those movies with the gorgeous shots of New York at Christmas time – maybe the Holiday Blog Extravaganza thing subliminally affected your answers?

  3. Your ideal guy is…
A bad boy with a good heart
    How’s your love life lately?
    Not so great.
Your friends would describe you as:
    Unbalanced but charming
    Favourite date:
Ice skating under the city lights
    Most applicable quote:
“I should have brought my gun.”
I too had to be a bit dishonest (Q1 for starters) – but I ended up with Being John Malkovich…so it seems pretty accurate. Wonder of wonders!

  4. LOL, Say Anything was my favorite, but mine came back Serendipity too, which I did enjoy.
I too am a pretty big fan of John Cusack. It seems cool that he keeps coming back with great movies again and again.

  5. I love that song, I love his face when he holds the boombox up, I love that kickboxing is the sport of the future, I love that he holds her hand on the airplane. SIGH!

  6. Oh great… Better off dead. I’m trying not to read too much into it.
🙂 I have a big John Cusack crush, too.

  7. I’m grosse point blank. He is a good actor. I thought he might be recognized for that movie Max but it went nowhere…
    Maybe Say Anything 2?

  8. Serendipity here. Which, despite the presence of my dreamboat John, was trite and dull.
I’d wanted to be Gross Pointe Blank or Say Anything (two of my favorite movies). Silvercreek Mom, Being John Malkovich is an extremely cool and offbeat movie. John’s character is not exactly sympathetic, but the movie is definitely worth seeing.
I heard John’s engaged to some actress/former model. Phooey.

  9. God, I used to have a big crush on him. What girl could resist? Admittedly though, I’m not up on his movies much anymore. Instead, my new lust is Viggo Mortenson. mmmm….Viggo…
