Springtime at last!!

It’s been a while since I posted any pictures, so I thought I’d show you why I’ve neglected blog this weekend in favour of having some fun with the boys. First, while Simon was napping on Friday, Tristan and I painted some eggs.

Then, on Saturday we went to the Farm with some friends. Simon got a free ride…

… while Tristan ran his little legs off. Notice the gravitational pull of that puddle… an entire farm to play in, and the boys head right for the puddle. Needless to say, they were soaked. Happy, but soaked.

We actually managed to get a few of them to stand still long enough for a picture! From left to right, that’s Tristan, Grant, Ben and Trevor.

Then on Sunday, we played outside some more. What a gorgeous weekend!

  1. Adorable pictures. I just have to mention that I think I have those very same glasses that you used for egg-dying. I love them and usually break them out only for company so that people think I’m actually kind of hip (when in reality I’m not at ALL).

  2. Great PICTURES Dani!
I hope to go one day to the farm when everyone else goes. SIGH Soo little time and it looks like so much fun. Although MY Little man got soaked in the puddle in the parking lot of the church Easter Sunday. Damn those grativational pulls!

  3. Is that baby Simon on the ride on toy?!! OMG he’s grown up so fast!!!! Adorable!

  4. Hi Dani.
I just stopped by to check out your blog. Okay, I admit it. I actually started reading it over an hour ago. I was hooked right from the start. I read everthing you wrote. It’s fantastic!!
I think it’s amazing that you raise the boys, work (ugh), do all the other things that people do in their busy days, and yet you still manage to find the time to maintain this blog. You’re like one of those super heroes. All you need is one of those cool explosion-proof costumes…anti-wrinkle, of course.

  5. Those are great pictures! We did some egg dyeing here, too. Only nine of the 12 eggs we started out with made it through the process intact, but the nine were lovely. The three casualties got cracked at various stages of the boiling/carrying process.

  6. Oh oh, I think I’m gonna run out of room before I can reply to everyone!
Suzanne, how funny you say that about the glasses – we’ve had them for years and use them every day, and I get so excited because every now and then we see them on Will and Grace or Friends, and I feel so trendy!! Completely a fluke, but like you, I love feeling just the tiniest bit hip!
SCM, the tractorbeam of a puddle is magnified in strength when a boy is in his Sunday best – didn’t you know that? 😉
Allie’s mom – can you believe it? He’s walking and talking — where did baby Simon go? I miss my Allie – you guys have to come around soon!
Batman! I’m so glad you dropped by, and I am just tickled that you really enjoyed reading blog. Your opinion means so much to me! Sheesh, now there will really be no living with me!! And, um, I think a wrinke-proof explosion suit will probably come in handy at least once in raising these boys. Could you scare one up for me? 😉
Ann, I was so proud that we only lost two eggs in the whole process, both of which did an amazingly graceful end-over-end roll the length of the table before bouncing onto the tile. Did you know the length of time it takes an egg to roll end-over-end the length of my table is just the *teeniest* bit less than the amount of time it takes to jump out of a chair and try to vault said table?
