My favourite photos of 2015

The end of the year is the perfect time to look back and see both what I did well, and what I could have done better, with my camera. Here’s a collection of the photos I most love from all parts of the year: the photos I took to tell a story, the photos I took for business, the photos I took simply to entertain myself. Some of them I love because of the moment they evoke, some because I nailed them from a technical perspective, and some just because when I look at them I can’t help but smile.

In loosely chronological order, my favourite photos of 2015:

I have an inkling that 2016 will be a great year of growth and learning for me, from a photographic perspective. I’ve got new tools, I’m registered for a spring workshop, and the idea of picking up my camera to chase an adventure or idea still makes my heart sing.

Here’s to finding wonder and telling stories and sharing new perspectives in 2016!

  1. beautiful images Dani… but my 2 faves of yours from this year are missing! lol! the jellyfish shot from PEI. and the one of the groom with his hand on his bride’s tush as they walk away! love those!!

of these, however, I love the ones of your parents and also Tristan walking towards the lighthouse 🙂 and also, I admire you for choosing some faves…..hard to pick amongst our “babies” ,isn’t it?!
    Happy New Year!!

  2. Oh Sarah, I can’t tell you how much it means that you’ve been paying enough attention to notice some you saw that aren’t here. You are delightful. Funny, I came >this< close to including that wedding one - it is one of my faves. I was too peeved at the jellyfish to include them here, though. Rotten things were almost as much of a damper on our fun as the rain! 😉 I can choose a big group of faves like this rather easily, but ask me to choose only five for the year and I'd not be able. And one? No, I could not do it -- they each speak to me for different reasons.

  3. Love your three boys on the swing – aptly “arranged” in height corresponding to their ages. Awesome!!

  4. OOPs I’m a doofus. Looking again, they aren’t in order, but I love the picture more because of it. I know how hard it is to get 2 kids to cooperate in a picture, never mind 3, and you’ve captured them all in mid-flight, most amazing.
