Delurk dammit!

Well, well, well, whaddya know — it’s Delurking Day 2011!

Thanks to Chris at Rude Cactus, lurkers are exposing themselves all over the interwebs. So now I can coerce you — yes, you, the one over there hiding behind the dual 17 inch monitors, don’t think I don’t see you peeking! — to come out into the light.

For goodness sake, people, you freak me out at the grocery store by coming up and introducing yourselves at least a couple of times a year, the least you could do is step out in the comment box and say hello!

(And, to all my more vocal and less lurky visitors — I love you, too! If you want to say hello, go right ahead!)

Delurk, dammit!

  1. You didn’t scare me, but reminded me to go to the post from my reader and leave a comment. Awesome day!

  2. I’m far to vocal to ever be considered a lurker. That being said, I’ll never pass up an invitation to comment – so, Hey! How’s it going? Have a great one.

  3. Not a lurker, but sayin’ hey anyhow ๐Ÿ™‚

I freaked a blogger out at the grocery store once, and would love to be able to do it to you too! Wait, nevermind, that sounds weird…

  4. Ha! I’ve just been leaving comments on all my favourite blogs, and I didn’t even know it was delurking day ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Ok well, I’m a sometimes commenter but mostly a lurker coming out to say hi and I really enjoy your writing and photos.Fo

  6. I’m a very occasional commenter from the West Coast! And I’m intrigued to see that I’m Jen #3 already…do Jens really make up almost 20% of your readers?! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  7. Hello right back at all of you — and hardly any of you are actually lurkers, by the way, because I recognize most of the names!

And yes, I occasionally have to check the e-mail addresses to see which Jen I’m talking to — there do seem to be a lot of you!! My best friend in Grade 2 was a Jennifer, and I’ve always been partial to them.

  8. I guess I’m not exactly a lurker, but wanted to say hello and tell you more about me. After all, I knwo a lot about you, but not being a blogger myself all you get to know about me is what you can out together from occasional comments.

I’m a mom of 2 beautiful girls, 3 years old and 11 weeks old. I’m an elementary teacher currently on mat leave and planning to make it an extended leave for a few years beyond that. So I’m currently re-shaping my life into that of a stay at home mom in Kanata; learning to make more home cooked meals, inventing things to do and play with my kids so we don’t go crazy, and using the internet to keep me connected to the world outside my home. I enjoy reading your blog and come by every day.
