The bright side

There is, I have recently discovered, an advantage to a minus 33C (minus 27.4F) windchill.

When you find yourself catastrophically pushed beyond your ability to cope with the relentless pressures of work and you find yourself melting down rather spectacularly, you can go for a walk outside and blame your streaming cheeks, running nose and glowing red eyes on the wind.

  1. Hang in there. It’s just a job. You’ve got such precious treasures in your life (and beautiful photos of them too). That’s what really matters.
    *hugs*

  3. Sigh. I hate crying at work. But I had reached a stress point where it was either cry or blow an aneurism, and the tears were probably healthier.
You know what? I work with some really great people, and some really annoying people.
And I have three wonderful men at home who let me work late to catch up, drove across town to pick me up and let me get take-out Lone Star fajitas with extra guacamole for dinner. And the whole world looks better after world-class fajitas and guacamole.
You’re right, Miche, it’s just a job. Unfotunately, lately it’s eight hours a day of relentless stress. But this too shall pass.
Thanks for your hugs. They make all the difference in the world.

  5. Sorry your days have been crappy lately. Sending you some hugs and a little sand from my happy place.
I am craving Lone Star now too!

  7. Thank goodness for family – they cancel out all the other bad things that happen in your day. And how thoughtful to get Lone Star!

  9. hmmm, Lone Star!
there’s always those people at work, and it can be just one, to ruin it all, like the proverbial rotten apple in the basket
as my motto says, hang in there
    wishing you happier days ahead
    hugs

  11. Oh no! I’m sorry you had one of those days, that’s horrible!
On a brighter note, what is this Lone Star business all about?
