TODAY was the first day of glorious, rain-sprinkled, sun-dappled, dirt-smelling spring.<\/p>\n<p>And what better way to celebrate than with a family breakfast out and a trip Ottawa&#8217;s agricultural museum, the Experimental Farm? <\/p>\n<p>Wow, you say, what a great day.  How could you improve on a day like that? Why, you turn it into a bloggy playdate, that&#8217;s how!  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.quietfish.com\/notebook\">Andrea <\/a>and her family joined us on our lovely spring morning excursion &#8211; and between the two of us, you had to know somebody was going to blog about it.  Since we both had cameras but only I had juice in my batteries, I won.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s Emma entertaining Tristan at the restaurant. I may have to steal her:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/1691\/827\/320\/130_3071.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It was sprinkling a little bit when we got to the farm, but the sun was out after we went through a few of the barns.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/1691\/827\/1600\/130_3093.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/1691\/827\/320\/130_3093.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Plenty of puddles remained for Simon&#8217;s enjoyment.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/1691\/827\/1600\/130_3094.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/1691\/827\/320\/130_3094.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s springtime, and there were lots of baby animals to admire. (The tiny lamb curled in the hay near the ewe&#8217;s head is my favourite.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/1691\/827\/1600\/130_3077.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/1691\/827\/320\/130_3077.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tristan favoured the week-old piglets that you can&#8217;t quite see behind the glass.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/1691\/827\/1600\/130_3091.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/1691\/827\/320\/130_3091.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I loved this moment of sisterly cooperation.
