Just as I&#8217;m putting the paper aside, having read a scant page and a half, I notice on the cover of the weekend Style section something about mommy blogs. So I put Simon in his highchair and feed him a couple of spoonsful of breakfast, but I&#8217;m still thinking about the mommy blog article, so I fold open the paper on the table to read it while I&#8217;m feeding Simon.<\/p>\n<p>Hey, I&#8217;m thinking, I know these people! The books editor has pulled together 28 excerpts from mommy (and daddy) blogs, one for each day in February. As I&#8217;m scanning, I&#8217;m nodding and smiling because I&#8217;ve read a lot of this stuff already. There&#8217;s Jen from <a href=\"http:\/\/tomama.blogs.com\/mubar\">MUBAR,<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/anndouglas.blogspot.com\">Ann D<\/a>, and Alice from <a href=\"http:\/\/finslippy.typepad.com\/finslippy\/\">Finslippy<\/a> and Suzanne from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.motherinchief.com\">MotherInChief<\/a>. There&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/elb.typepad.com\/halfchangedworld\/\">DC Mom <\/a>and of course there is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dooce.com\">Dooce<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>So I say to Beloved, &#8220;Hey, I know a lot of these people&#8230; too bad I didn&#8217;t &#8212; HEY! <strong>THAT&#8217;S MY BLOG<\/strong>!!!!&#8221; And whadda ya know, there I am, my very first blog entry ever, right there on <a href=\"http:\/\/momm-eh.blogspot.com\/2005_01_30_momm-eh_archive.html\">February 2<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I guess I should say thanks to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canada.com\/ottawa\/ottawacitizen\/news\/styleweekly\/story.html?id=d6a2c1fb-ae38-413c-a65b-30e784f264f6\">Ottawa Citizen <\/a>for the free publicity, although it would have been nice of them to drop a courtesy note and let me know they&#8217;d be publishing me.
