I swear, one of these days I will get over my obsession with H1N1 and stop talking and reading and thinking about it. Soon! But in the interim, I really appreciated this article from the Toronto Star about what to do if your child actually gets the flu. I’m not prone to panic in a crisis, but I think I may just wig out in a dramatic fashion if one of the kids spikes a fever any time in the next couple of weeks. I’m tagging this article as much for my reference and yours… but you might want to stop 2/3 of the way through, if you’re feeling panicky about the flu already. I kind of wish I did.

15% of the kids and 25% of the adults in my work places are sick with the flu. Nobody will come out and say it’s swine flu because they don’t want people to panic, but it’s pretty obvious it likely is.
It’s getting a bit hard to ignore it but so far, we’ve been okay. Jake and Hubs are vaccinated, so I’m the only one in the house that appears to have a bulls eye painted on them.
I can’t read your article yet, but I’ll book mark it just in case
I’m pretty sure that what The Boy and I have is the flu. I’m trying to look on the bright side, we aren’t really sick. And when they run out of vaccines, we can take comfort in the fact that we’ve already been sick. Or something like that…
We’ve got it at our house now. Snuggly Girl has had a fever for 6 days. If she’s still feverish tomorrow her doctor said to bring her in. (We went on day 4 out of worry and all was fine, other than, you know, the flu).
