Ugh, I know, three days to Halloween and I’m on about Christmas. But after missing it for the last two years, I was finally on the ball enough to pick up a Lego City Advent Calendar at Mrs Tiggy Winkles this week, and come December 1 I am going to be the Mother of the Year. It’s not cheap, but it comes with scads of those wee mini-figs that my boys so love. I can’t wait! But fear not, even if you miss the official Lego Advent Calendar, what about making up your own Lego ornaments? LOVE it!!!!

  4. The Lego mystique A couple of weeks ago, Kerry called me up and asked if the boys would be interested in inheriting some of the Lego she and her brother had when they were kids. Her parents are moving and got tired of storing it in their basement. (I wish my parents had...

Ooh, I bought that too, plus the Pirate advent calendar, because my kids have one each or the squabbling is unbearable.

Now, how did I not know about this before? Am I that out of touch? How cool is that! What a great alternative to the insanity of chocolate advent calendars!
