Saw this in the paper today: Ikea is planning to build the largest Ikea in Canada, and one of the five largest Ikeas in North America, right here in Ottawa. Yay! It will be the size of EIGHT football fields, and two stories tall, on the location of the current store — one of the smallest in the country.

Interesting! It’s a crap parking lot already…what the heck are they planning to do – offer parking suspended above the building? On a very cool note, did you know that we don’t have to look for parking when we go because they have two “Hybrid car only” parking spots right up front, and we just happen to own an hybrid? How cool is THAT? And how jealous are you all, who don’t own hybrid cars yet?

I am pretty excited too. And being that we are lucky to live here I usually go there on Monday or Tuesday nights when the parking isn’t an issue. And we are pretty much guaranteed room in the ball pit for the kiddies. Oh I wonder if they will expand the ball pit accordingly ๐Ÿ™‚
