Sorry, folks. I’m not overly fond of captchas, but I had to do something to stop the flow of comment spam. I’ve installed a small captcha widget called reCAPTCHA that asks you to type two words before you comment. The upside is that by using this one, you’re helping to confirm words that have been scanned to digitize books. You can read more about it here.
I hope this is just a temporary measure. Thanks for your patience, and please do send me an e-mail at danicanada (a) gmail (dot) com if you have any trouble with it!

- Friday comment game – it’s all about you! I’ve been staring at this empty interface for long enough. I give up, I got nothing for you today. Well, that’s not exactly true. - Tradespeople in Ottawa? I’m blatantly taking advantage of my burgeoning local audience with this. We need a few tradespeople to do some work around the house. As the temperature moderates [...]...
- MotherTalk book review: Bob Books for Beginning Readers I have a confession to make. I didn’t read a single book in the boxed set I’m supposed to be reviewing today for my stop on MotherTalk’s Bob Books blog tour. In fact, I had them read to me – by Tristan, my five year old son. (pause for gasps of delight [...]...
- In need of a good home? I know of a home in search of a dog. (No, not mine, but if you’ve been reading recently, you’ll know who.) If you might happen to know of anyone in the Ottawa area who knows of a big, friendly, mature dog in need of a good home, I’d love to hear from [...]...

Yay! I didn’t know the CAPTCHA program using actual words was up and running – hurrah! If we have to have the stupid things, at least it does something good, right?
Ooh, this is inda need!
I mean kinda neat.
That was a brain dead moment, wasn’t it?
Or maybe I just wanted to type more words!
Had to try it… I don’t think this will deter commenters at all!!!
Good work Danigirl!!!
