I read and loved Coupland's first two books. All the rest, for me, have been between boring and terrible.
JPod's been kind of odd for me because I released my own book of a similar theme (<a href="http://www.gamequestnovel.com">Game Quest</a>) about a month before. It's an independent book, so I really have a minor, minor fraction of the reach Coupland does so it's hardly in direct competition, but because of the similar themes (Art, business and computer games) I've been afraid to read it and curious to read it at the same time. I'm still not sure what to think after reading your review, though it sounds quite different than what I did. That's reassuring at least.

Ooo, thanks for the tip, Ann. And yes, that's me who has the autographed CanLit collection, the centrepieces of which are my GenX, Alias Grace and Barney's Version. My ultimate goal is an Alice Munro personal autograph.
Here's the link to the G&M review:

And here's another review I really liked from the NYT:

The book certainly got a very interesting review in The Globe this weekend. I think I noted in your LibraryThing notes at one point that you've got some autographed Coupland books -- or was that somewhere else on the 'Net. (Yes, you are my hobby.) :-)
