I LOVED Electric Company! I used to park myself in front of that every day while my mom made dinner. She swore that was how I learned to read. Hmmmm....now maybe I don't have to feel guilty about putting in a DVD instead of reading to the kidlets...

We have four of those old Muppets on video. My brother-in-law always find the ancient stuff and gives it to the kids. You should see their collection of Pez dispensers he gave them.

Thye Bugaloos? Wow! Apparetnly, I LOVED the bugaloos, much to my parents' dismay ( I have no memory of this)--I'll have to get it just to torture them. But I remember adoring the Electric Company and the Muppet Show. Is there anything like the Muppet Show on anymore? You know, something that the entire family can watch and everyone can enjoy? I remember that my parents liked that one as much as my brother and I did. We watched it together every week. I remember that ver fondly.

That is so excellent! I have one of the 'highlights of' the Muppet Show DVDs (no, no kids yet, it was just for me. shh.) - it was the one with Dudley Moore, John Cleese & Peter Sellers. Although I really like John Cleese, I bought it because of Peter Sellers, and that was, in fact, the highlight of the whole DVD. Just incredible. Season One of the Muppets is now out too - amazon.ca's got it. The great thing about these shows is that kids (ok, and adults) still enjoy them 30 years later. 30...oh my god...ahem...anyway, HUZZAH for 70s television!

Batman, yes, Hilarious House of Frightenstein was also on my list - oddly, I was just thinking about this the other day! I guess I watched a lot of TV as a kid... I remember watching that at about 5:30 on a Saturday morning, long before the rest of the house was awake, circa 1981. I liked the Wolfman segments the best. And I already sent Nancy the link to the Muppet Show DVDs...

Okay, I have to add my 2.4 cents. The show I would love to have on DVD is The Hilarious House of Frightenstein. I loved that show. I have some on vhs and a couple on my PC but they're all rather poor quality. Apparently the masters were destroyed and there's no chance of the shows being reissued digitally. Sigh.
I was also a fan of the Electric Company (mainly for the spiderman segments) and the Kroft Supershow.
I thought I saw the Muppet Show on DVD though. I have some of the episodes digitally (again,, not great quality) but it's better than nothing.
