Thanks to everyone for your thoughts – and your votes (blush!) Phantom, heck, I think you guys should be allowed to vote in our elections, too. Then maybe we could make it reciprocol, and then – well, let’s just say it would be a nice change for you.
Anna, I don’t think there was coffee, but it sure was nice seeing you this weekend anyway! And Twinmom – name the time and place, and I’ll be there! Do you venture downtown on preschool mornings???
Ah yes, the pomegranate – wow, that is one messy fruit! I had to wipe down the counter, the backsplash, the sink, the coffee maker AND treat my white t-shirt with bleach. Holy purple splatter, Batman! But it was tasty!! Next time I cut one, I might invest in an apron, though…

In the whole 1.5 minutes a day I have to procrastinate when the monster is napping, I found that a pomegranate probably has the best dictionary definition of any fruit. They got creative on this one, and I quote “…has many seeds with pulpy crimson arils of tart flavour”. (ps)I only looked it up to check out its etymology…not because I din’t know what it was. I mean come on, I’m almost 30, I AM familiar with all fruits in the Loblaws fruit section…kumquat-what?

Update: on my way home after all. Sigh. Beloved will swing by here with both boys and pick me up, we will drive him over to Quebec then drive home and will all load into the car to pick him up for 5 pm. (Did I mention we really need a second car?) Tristan has become red-cheeked and lethargic and I just can’t justify sending him off to Bobbie’s.
I haven’t eaten the pomegranate yet. Since I will be home, maybe for lunch today? Stay tuned for more riveting details!
